🎬 We Are All Trying Here (2026)
is a biting, realistic drama that peels back the glamour of the film industry to show the desperate insecurity underneath. Written by Park Hae-young, the story centers on Hwang Dong-man (Koo Kyo-hwan), a man who has spent two decades in the shadow of his own ambition.
Despite his talent, he has never debuted as a director, working as a directing teacher and freelancer while watching his peers rise to stardom. This frustration reaches a boiling point when he collides with Byeon Eun-ah (Go Youn-jung), a ruthless producer nicknamed “The Axe.” While the industry dismisses him as a failure and Dong-man has finally lost faith in his own talent, she recognizes a brilliance in him that no one else sees. By believing in his genius when he no longer can, she becomes a vital reason why he continues fighting for the debut he’s spent twenty years chasing.
