1. My guide said it originally started during the wet season so they wouldn’t get wet or muddy while walking through the fields.

2. It’s become a symbol of their tribe and this group of kids have become well known for it.

3. It’s fun and a great source of income for their village because it’s turned into a tourist attraction as you pass through the Omo valley.
