Every longtime Clash of Clans player remembers what it was like to open global chat. You never knew what kind of conversation you were about to join. Sometimes it was people recruiting for their clans, sometimes it was players sharing attack strategies, and other times it was complete chaos that somehow made the game even more entertaining. Coming back after seven years reminded me that some of my favorite memories had nothing to do with trophies or upgrades. They came from the people I met through global chat. Even though it’s gone, those memories are still a huge part of why Clash of Clans remains such a legendary game.
