Free 2-minute test in my bio scores you on five moves and names your weakest one. Most men guess wrong.
Now the obliques 👇
Everything you lift, push or carry passes through your middle. If the sides of your waist can't stay rigid, part of that force is lost before it ever reaches the floor. That's what a weak oblique costs you — not a look, a leak.
All five:
Side-lying oblique crunch, legs straight — 15 each side
Knee to elbow, same position — 15 each side
On your back, reach across your body — 15 each side
Heel taps, side to side — 20 total
Side plank — 30 seconds each side
Do the side-lying work on one side, then swap. The two on your back are already both sides. Rest 45 seconds between rounds.
The side plank is last on purpose. It's the only one where nothing moves, and that's the obliques' real job — holding your torso still while your arms and legs do the work.
One honest note: training the sides of your waist builds the muscle. It doesn't remove fat from over it. That comes from everything else you do.
Save this for your next core session.
Strong core doesn't mean much if something else is your weak link. Tap @fitprotocolhq and take the free test — five moves, two minutes, a level on each one.
