Vikings is a historical drama series created by Michael Hirst that aired from 2013 to 2020. It has 6 seasons and 89 episodes. The story is inspired by Norse legends and follows the rise of the legendary Viking hero Ragnar Lothbrok, his family, and his descendants. While many characters are based on historical or legendary figures, the show takes significant creative liberties with historical events.

Some of the main characters include:

* Ragnar Lothbrok – A farmer who becomes a legendary Viking king.
* Lagertha – Ragnar’s fierce shieldmaiden wife.
* Bjorn Ironside – Ragnar and Lagertha’s son, who becomes a famous warrior.
* Ivar the Boneless – One of Ragnar’s most feared sons.
* Floki – Ragnar’s eccentric shipbuilder and close friend.

The series is known for:

* Epic battle scenes and Viking raids.
* Strong character development.
* Themes of power, family, loyalty, and religion.
* Beautiful cinematography and an atmospheric soundtrack.

If you enjoy shows like Game of Thrones but want something more grounded in history (with less fantasy), Vikings is an excellent choice. It has received widespread praise for its storytelling, performances, and action. #series #ragner #vairal #vaikings
