The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) brought a different side of Peter Parker to the screen — younger, more rebellious, and still trying to understand the mystery surrounding his parents.
The story follows Peter Parker, a high-school outcast who was raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben after his parents disappeared. While investigating his father's past, Peter is drawn to Oscorp and the work of Dr. Curt Connors, eventually setting him on the path to becoming Spider-Man.
But the film isn't only about becoming a superhero. Peter is also falling for Gwen Stacy, and their relationship becomes one of the emotional centers of the story. Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield brought a natural chemistry to Peter and Gwen that became one of the most memorable parts of this version of Spider-Man.
Marc Webb's film combines the classic superhero origin with a more personal story about family, identity, first love, and the responsibility that comes with having extraordinary abilities.
Andrew Garfield's portrayal gave Peter Parker a distinct personality — awkward, sarcastic, emotional, and deeply human beneath the mask.
