Last Friday on the 31st August, the Nike Hall (Nikehallen) at @kungl.konsthogskolan reopened and ceremoniously unveiled its restored historic plaster cast collection, including the famous “Winged Victory of Samothrace (Nike)”.

Conservators from Stockholm Painting Conservation worked for over a year to restore the damaged plaster casts after the fire in June 2025.

The Nike Hall houses one of the world’s oldest collections of plaster replicas of classic sculptures, anchored by the dynamic figure of Nike from Samothrace.

The unveiling was accompanied by improvised music performed by @great_learning_orchestra
